Photoshop experimentation

A mixtue of images I took from Hartlepool Museum, Bowes Museum and streets of Hartlepool. After placing the images on Photoshop I drew over the images using the computer, then added a neutral background cover over the top and finally began rubbing parts of the coloured background out to reveal some of the images. 

Just a few of my favourite wallpaper samples from Cath Kidston, detailed illustrations combined with complementary pastel colours and clever arrangement of the illustrations creating a lovely arrangement and pattern.

Cole & Son was founded in 1875 by John Perry.

Cole & Son are very well known for their illustrative, beautiful wallpapers and here a few examples of my favourites. Although quite pricey I would say these papers are well worth their price to decorate your home in the most beautiful and detailed way.

 

Mary Katrantzou - new clothing arrivals for 2014. After her debut in 2008 Mary has continued to create unique designs with bold prints and strong shapes, with lovely use of complementary colours and composition.
